Sharp LC60E77UN BEST PRICE

Sharp LC60E77UN BEST PRICE, Pleased with purchase.
We purchased our Sharp 60 in. LCD about two months ago and are very satisfied. This is our first large flat screen and it has fully met our expectations. It looks good, was easy to install, the picture and sound quality are great, and it has given us no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this TV.

Sharp LC60E77UN BEST PRICE, VERY HAPPY.
I have owned this Tv for a few weeks now. I am very happy with my purchase. The TV was in perfect condition when I took it out of the box, it took two of us to put it on the stand of course. The box lifts up and the TV is packed very well in styerphone.
They called and set up the delievery time, they arrived on time.
I am very happy with the apperance, I have it on a black smoke glass stand.Looks like they were made for each other.
We have surround sound installed in our house when it was built, very happy that I had no problem hooking it up to the reciever. If I did not have the reciever with the surround sound, I am not sure I would be happy with the sound.
Overall I am happy with my purchase.
Also own an Aquos in our Den and Masterbedroom, happy with all of them.

Sharp LC60E77UN CYBER MONDAY

Sharp LC60E77UN CYBER MONDAY, The big screen that's hard to beat.
I agonized over which LCD tv to get for about 2 months before buying the Sharp 60". I hit the club stores, big yellow box stores and every online store I could find. I also checked out various online review sites such as consumer reports.I liked the LG, Samsung, Vizio and Sharp televisions. Mostly the 55" range LCD, LED and plasma were in my sights. I elimated the plasma after reading reports of there still being burn out problems, however slight, and they were not as bright as the LCD/LED sets. After seeing the larger Sharp next to the 55" LED televisions I noticed that it seem to hold it's own for less money. The Sharp was one of the brightest, as bright as any LED we looked at side by side. The only drawback to the LCDs/LEDs is the motion blur when the camera pans. Sorry, but all LCD/LED sets, even the 120hz amd 240hz have the issue in various degrees. Plasmas much less. I'm sure in the next year or so it they will improve the blurring. But I factored this in before purchasing. I have 5 french doors lining the room the tv is in and can testify that even in a sun lit room the Sharp is bright and sharp. As far as the contrast ratio, it does not have the 2,000,000 as the LEDs and Plasmas, but I honestly can't tell. The blacks look black enough to me and the side viewing angle is great. I grew up with fuzzy b&w televisions and was happy, then the color tubes came (nice). Now all of the sudden we are connesuirs of contrast ratios!

The sound was dissappointing at first. Then we got HD channels and blu ray, suddenly the sound livened up and sparkled. Our room is 20 X 20 and we have the sound about 1/3 the way up most of the time. There is not much bass response as I knew before purchasing. The flat panels are known for lacking bass. Maybe an audio system later, happy for now though.

Personally I like the gold bezel, which really is like a light bronze imbedded into the black frame at the bottom that gives the illusion of a reflection of wood, pretty ingenious. To me the exterior looks better than most, which was important to my wife. The remote is ok, not great. I also got the sharp blu ray player that is nice, but slow to load. I think a lot of blu rays may be slow, not sure. Over all this TV is huge, if you have to sit as close as 8ft, go smaller. We sit at the 10' to 14' range and it's sharp, super bright and very colorful. Also, we sit about 5' to the left and right of center and there is no noticable degradation. I had no need to adjust the colors or pay someone to tune it. It came great tuned right out of the box, just like it should. I turn the brightness down at night because it can hurt your eyes, which is great! You can always dim a bright tv, but not visa versa. There is a setting for auto adjustments that take care of all that. Fairly easy to navigate the menu settings. You do get some motion blur during panning as with all LCD/LEDs. Some people don't notice, some do and don't care and some are really bothered by it. I have no regrets, if it holds up, my family and I will be thrilled.

Sharp LC60E77UN CYBER MONDAY, I love this TV.
I'm very pleased with this TV. The size is incredible and the picture quality is superb as long as it is getting a nice signal. Blu-rays look outstanding. Don't expect much when watching 480i content, but this TV really wasn't made for that anyway. The sound quality is passable for watching regular cable, but you'll want to use a good receiver/surround system for gaming and movies. Honestly, I love this unit and if you get it for under 2 grand as I did it is an amazing value. Black levels are pretty impressive with dimmed lighting but still glow a bit in total darkness. I recommend using the OPC for viewing in a dark room and experimenting with the range for the backlighting. I've set the minimum at the lowest value and get a pretty decent black level in a pitch black room. I love the finish on the screen itself. They've used a semi-gloss finish instead of the matte finish you usually see in LCD screens. It gives a huge boost to the contrast and black levels without making you look at your reflection in dark scenes like the old tube tvs used to. I love this TV and I've been going through my whole blu-ray collection all over again just to see them on this screen. Oh yeah, gamers. I use this for gaming as well and with the TV in game mode there is no perceivable lag at all. With a 1080p or even a 720p signal it seems as responsive as a crt.

Sharp LC60E77UN REVIEW

Sharp LC60E77UN Very good HDTV. Probably leaves expensive Sony, samsung behind
The reviewers on this site were a great help to me in buying this TV, therefore I feel obligated to post a review for the future buyers.

I bought this TV on March 1, 2010 from Sears for $1800. It was on sale for $1999 but if you charge it to Sears card you get 10% off.

Brought it home by myself in a smaller SUV. TV is lighter for its size. My daughter and I brought it in. The box is little too wide because the base stand is attached to the TV which saves time. Unpacked very easily put it on the stand.

Connected to the basic analog cable that connects directly into TV(no cable box). I
connected the cable to my DVD and then connected DVD to TV with 15 year old basic audit/video cables, no HDMI or component video cables etc. Connected 2 DVDs and both are working fine.

Set up all digital HD and analog channels automatically as most TVs do now a days by clicking appropriate icons on the screen. Was watching TV in about 10 to 15 minutes. Of course I work in the computer field, so it may have been easy for me.

The picture may not be very sharp for analog broadcast. I turned sharpness all the way up, and it really looks very good. That is the only twicking I had to do.

As some of the reviewers said the picture is vivid in color and very much enjoyable. Some of the HD digital channels I get are realy very, very sharp. I am sure it will be much sharper with HDMI cables but I think you have to subscribe to it and then you have to put up with the cable box.

I am not into surround sound, gaming, connnection to PC etc. so I cannot comment on it. But if you want a 60 inch nice TV under $2000 to watch TV shows, this is it. I have not seen any blurrs as some of you have said while watching sports.

Forget about spending more money for Sony, Samsung etc.

Sharp LC60E77UN Love it.
Great flat panel big screen. I already had a LC-C6077UN and loved it so I was worried about the gold bezel mainly because it was $500 cheaper, but you don't even notice it. It looks like reflection off of my tv stand. The two tv's are identical. Sound quality I can't speak on I use a 5.1 surround sound system. I still come in the room a month later and smerk at the size of this monster. I love it.

Sharp LC60E77UN Best TV I've ever had.
I had a 65" Mitsubishi HD that I bought in 2002...not quit the same kind of HD. The Sharp just blows it away! Not fair to compare rear projection to LCD, but man am I satisfied! The Bluray, when used is just outstanding. I mounted the Sharp above our fireplace, and now our living room is so much larger. I was not concerned at all about the TV sound as it is hooked up to my surround sound system...I love it!
Would have only been better if I had managed to go and shop before Christmas and got that good price, but hey, you snooze, you lose! Get one, you won't be disappointed!

Sharp LC60E77UN Best Price, Fantastic Picture Quality.
After buying this TV three months, really enjoy watching movies and sports in HD mode, picture quality and motion is phenomenal, particularly in palying with Blu-Ray disc. Excitedly waiting for HD Super Bowl game soon.
Highly recommend it.

Sharp LC60E77UN Best Price, Beautiful Picture, Amazing Details
I was hesitate purchasing this model from Sharp. I never owned a Sharp TV before. It was either Mitsubishi, Samsung or Philips. I searched and searched for reviews, and there is not that many reviews for this model. Majority are thumbs up for it. So I took a chance with. My current was a 73 INCH Mitsubishi DLP. I loved that tv. The only disappointment was the sound and the overscan. I tried to fix the over scan in the service menu, but no luck. So I traded up (or traded down on size) for this LCD screen. I must admit, this is a pretty sweet unit. I'm not all big on the 120 HZ thing. Some programs do look amazing while using the 120 HZ. Menu is user friendly. It does have the option of the CMS in user menu. For those who don't know, its the ability to calibrate the tv to the way it is meant to be seen. It also has a built in demo features for the 120 HZ vs 60 HZ, and 10 bit processing demo, and others. The Gold bezel on the bottom of the tv, gives it a nice touch of class to it. It gives the ability to stretch, dot by dot, s.stretch or zoom the video. Overall, this tv is NOT a disappointment.

Sharp LC60E77UN Best Buy, Very happy so far
Bought this TV in November. Very happy with all aspects of the product. The picture is stunningly clear. Delivery was prompt and easy. My wife was worried about the gold bezel but it is a non-factor. I don't even notice it. Sound quality is below average but we use external speakers so that is no problem. I wish it had picture in picture but I knew it didn't going in. Overall, very pleased. Only time will tell how the product will hold up over the long-term.

Sharp LC60E77UN Best Buy, A well kept secret and a great value
I purchased the Costco version of this unit LC-C6077UN after reading what reviews I could find. I found there weren't many reviews of this unit anywhere on the web except for here on Amazon and there is an owner's thread on AVS Forum. Anyway, I've owned it for two weeks now and the more I watch on it, the more I love it. It takes some time to get through all the settings and learn how they affect the picture quality. One of the things that I've discovered is that on a TV this big, flaws in the quality of the signal and source material are magnified. A lot of over-the-air hi def stuff looks really good but some of it doesn't. I found that the NCAA tournament regionals didn't look as good as I hoped but the commercials shown in those games looked fantastic...and the Final Four games looked fantastic. Same TV, same network. I think it had a lot to do with the broadcast equipment and signal chain. Maybe I had tweaked something in the settings to make the difference. The bottom line is that this TV is capable of showing a beautiful picture with nice deep blacks.

One complaint - the TV has been rebooting every 40 or so minutes during over-the-air broadcasts (doesn't happen when viewing any other video source). I've determined that there is a firmware upgrade available and will install it this weekend. I'm hoping that will fix this problem.
